I think so..

This is grandious! I'm glad you didn't add "swag" as was suggested on another of your beats. As If swag could be added to a beat without diamonds.... This is nice, The drums once again are repetative, and the snare needs much work. The melodies flow well tho, and create this into an instant classic in my book. I enjoy the phase on the intro, Reminds me of a few bangin Olskool artists ;) I think that putting a bit more work into your drums would do your production a world of good. I understand that repetative is great fro rapping, but progression is even better because it is the grounds for skilled rapping. Again, I will probably write to this song, actually, for sure to this one because it is much easier to follow than the track with the harp (Harp kinda threw me off the beat, but was not bad at all, just didn't fit to my style.) You are definetly getting better with samples. Just remember Quality is better than quality, and an extra hour or so perfecting the drums can turn a hip-hop track from soiled to boiled.

shaggyhaired responds:

Thanks man, could you PM me some tips on mastering drums or a site that has tips?

And yeah, I'll spend more time working on a more varied drum part.

Thanks for the review!

Lol, just vibein with the hip-hop part. This is as good as your other classical works in that it progresses through genres like it is time warping. Fuckin awesome. This end is almost sinister. Of course I like the hip-hop part, I'm a hip-hop head and you make masterpeices in that genre. The "movie intro" as you call it is very intense, I could see it being the intro to an extremely intense action movie. The hip-hop part fits well into that movie intro as well. Great transitions throughout the peice. The begining is so ominous and you can feel the way it builds, I like the sweeping noise that you added after that, It gives it the perception of comeing into a realization...Or it could be the credits running across the screen and halting momentarily. Good job here, sorry for the big long muddle puddle of a paragraph.

hahaha thanks for the detailed review dude.

Reality is what they look past...

I like what you rap about, keep doin it. Fuck the people that down vote. This is real. I live in the south and theres still alot of red-neck biggots. The flow on the hook is sort of off, but the beat is so killer. I love the strummy acustic, If you made this beat, I have a few acustic samples you can work with if you think you can. Good work here, can't wait for the collab.

tacobuttfish responds:

hey man send me the samples, I'll work up a beat for us to collab on, thedialogwizard@live.com

WOW

Best one i've heard so far man. This is great. Has that lovely kicked back style that I loves so much. I might just write to this, I've gotta wait till next week tho, alot on my plate for now. I want to hear more of this smooth rythm from you dude.

shaggyhaired responds:

Thanks a lot dude.

CREEP!!!

Feels like a bit like Creep by Radiohead when the male voice sample plays. Well, a lil, and probably only to me because I was singig that song to this in the shower lol. Great lil tune here. I can't wait to here what Omega murders this with.

pretty nifty

Tight shit. You are murderin those keys. Like the strings too, feels like a mexican sunset. The clap is a bit repetitive. I like this beat tho. Pretty easy to write to, I banged out a quick hook listenin for about 10 minutes. Nice stuff here, You do great with the emotions in your music.

JoeyKeys responds:

Thanks man glad you liked it

Trip-hop revolution

Good exept for the extremely repetative arcade laser noise. The high notes on the keys are repetitive as well, but more bearable than the arcade sound. Nice stuff other wise, I'm diggin the beat other than the phew phew pheew. Maybe a different sound is in order. Unless sumone were to creat a very clever rap about arcade games....Now theres an idea!

Scaro042 responds:

sorry I knew something was too repetitive, but i may have to reduce that laser sound, i got carried away.. thanks for your review!!
